A Control Panel is a software tool used to control the content of a hosting account. This can include, but is not limited to, files, e-mail messages, databases, stats and various operations executed with them. The Control Panel offers a web-based interface to manage these things and anything else related to the website hosting service through different sections in which you can access functions through buttons and/or menus. The less complicated to use a Control Panel is, the easier it'll be for you to handle your presence online altogether. In the typical case, the CP is the web hosting account’s back office, while an independent billing account is employed to manage payments and domain name registrations - if the company provides this particular service. Trouble tickets can be addressed via the billing account or by using an independent system.
